How is it the current offering of HDMI extenders can offer eARC support when the extenders are at the HDMI 2.0 standard?
I tested a competitor’s extender with eARC and the tv would never recognize the AVR. Both TV and AVR are HDMI 2.1 complient. The competitor does not provide good support or offer a forum like this, so I am seriosuly considering the extender line offered by AV Access. Has anybody tried 4KEX70-eARC? This is the one I am considering. My particular issue is that I could not get surround sound over the eARC channel.
Yes, HDMI 2.0 can support eARC. I think 4KEX40-eARC is what you are looking for. What audio format are you using? If you can explain a bit about your setup (what devices you are using and how you want to connect them), our support can help you better.
Hello Mike, our HDMI 2.0 extender of 4KEX40-eARC can support eARC function thru the technology and can transmits the high-bitrate audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
