New product release: DisplayPort 2.0 triple monitor KVM switch

Interesting. I understand DP doesn’t use the extra data line for EDID communication like HDMI does, but it burries the EDID information in the signal packages. Sounds to me like EDID emulation should technically be possible, but might be a lot more demanding as it requires a dummy video signal encapsulating the required EDID data. Would that assumption be correct?

The DP 2.0 KVM switch would fit my needs perfectly as it offers plenty of ports, USB 3.0 hub functionality and it’s not crazy expensive. But the lack of EDID emulation sets it apart from e.g. your 8KSW21-KVM that offers all that I need except only offering one single video port per computer. Either an HDMI 2.1 switch with more than one port supporting G-Sync as well as AMD FreeSync or a DP 2.0 switch with EDID emulation would do the trick here.
With one addition: Having the capability of adding an additional cable bound remote button
