4KIP100-KVM Keeps prompting "Wait Video Input"

My 4KIP100-KVM keeps prompting “Wait Video Input” when the display is turned off intentionally done by the setting under power options.

The intension to turn off the display is to save power consumed by the monitor, but 4KIP100-KVM keeps waking up the monitor by prompting “Wait for Video”.

My 4KEX100-KVM does not have this problem.

Please assist in solving this problem. Thanks.

Hello Chan,

Thanks for getting back to us.

  1. How is the 4KIP100-KVM diagram connection? Use the cat cable direct connected from transmitter to receiver or work with switch?
  2. If thru the switch and it require use the powerful gigabit switch and need ensure the end-to-end from transmitter to receiver have 1Gbps bandwidth.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your response.

The receiver and transmitter are directly connected by using cat 6 cable. They are working properly and don’t have any connection problems.

I would like to have my monitor being turned off after a certain period of time (say, after 15 minutes without action) to save power, however, my monitor keeps being waken up to prompt “Wait Video Input”, say, every minute when the display is turned off intentionally done by the setting under power options of MS Windows.

My 4KEX100-KVM can save power. It doesn’t prompt any messages to my monitor when my computer sleeps or the display is turned off.

Thanks.
