C10 desktop VGA post error

Using an iDock C10 (s/n A24H0412) with a USB C connected laptop, a PC with an NVIDIA GTX 970 GPU, and a Dell G3223Q monitor (3840 x 2160, 60 hz).

The laptop works fine, as do USB peripherals for the PC. However, when the PC video is connected to the C10, whether by HDMI or DisplayPort, it has a VGA fault during POST and there is no video display on the monitor. Connecting either cable from the PC directly to the monitor works fine, but then I have to switch both the monitor and C10 inputs.

It has worked this way since I bought it late last year, is there any way to be able to switch PC video through the C10?

Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to us and we are sorry for the issues.

  1. Could you try factory reset the monitor
  2. Disable Fast Boot or Enable Legacy USB Support in BIOS/UEFI
2.1 Some systems have a “Fast Boot” option or “Legacy USB Support” that can interfere with video detection at POST when using docking stations.
2.2Go into your PC’s BIOS/UEFI settings and disable “Fast Boot” if enabled. You can also try enabling “Legacy USB Support” to ensure that the docking station is detected properly during boot.
  3. Check GPU Settings: the NVIDIA GTX 970 GPU might have specific settings related to how it handles multiple monitors or outputs. Check the NVIDIA Control Panel for options related to multi-display setups or video output modes, and ensure the proper display port (HDMI or DisplayPort) is being used as the primary output.
