C20 monitors go black and eventually go to sleep

I have a new iDock C20, with two Dell Laptops connected. A Latitude 5450 and a Latitude 5420.

My monitors don’t have HDMI inputs so I got HDMI to DP dongles as instructed per AVAccess chat support. Within minutes, regardless of which laptop is connected, at least one monitor will start blinking out and eventually it just goes to sleep thinking there’s no signal. The laptops think the monitor is active and so I have to completely disconnect to access the windows on that particular monitor.

I’m afraid I’ll have to return it since I’m running out of time… unless there’s a quick and easy solution

Hi Burnz,

Truly sorry for that.
Seems not have a good solution for your setup as most of this type adapter said not work with the KVM or docking, so have the issue in your setup.
The recommended adapter mostly use for a desktop to connect with a DisplayPort KVM.
In this case, I am afraid you need ask return the item and get a refund.

Thanks for responding.
Unfortunately I can’t find the box, it’s possible someone threw it out.
Will you except the return without the original retail packaging?

Hi,

Yes, if you don’t have the original packaging anymore, you can use a neutral box to package the product with all the accessories.
