I have an IBM laptop and a MiniForum MS-01 connected to the AV Access Dual Monitor KVM Switch Docking for Laptop & Desktop. When I switch over to the laptop and either hit the enter key on my Logi wireless keyboard or move the Logi wireless mouse the laptop will not wake up. I have to open the laptop lid, hit the enter key on the laptop keyboard, then enter my password. Any suggestions? The desktop wakes up just fine. I will also note that the IBM laptop wakes up if connected to my IBM docking station at work with the same Keyboard and mouse.
Hi Max,
Thanks for getting back to us.
- Kindly please check that our device can only wake-up the computer in “Sleeping” mode but not “Hibernate” mode.
- Enable “Allow this device to wake the computer” in the Device Manager for the keyboard/mouse under their Properties > Power Management tab.
- Open the Device Manager, find the keyboard/mouse under Human Interface Devices, and enable “Allow this device to wake the computer”.
- Some laptops have wake-related settings in the BIOS/UEFI, such as the USB Wake Support or Wake on LAN. Enable these features to allow external devices to wake the system.(Or try find an option to “Resume by USB device” and ensure it was enabled).
Many thanks.
