iDOC C10 TOSLINK out audio Issue

Hi,
I purchased an iDOC C10 today. Very nice device even if a bit pricey.

I am using it to switch between a laptop and a PC.

I want to use the device to also switch the audio between PC and laptop.

I can listen to audio successfully using the iDOC C10 headphone output.

There seems to be no audio coming via the TOSLINK out though. I need the TOSLINK out to work to connect to my stereo system. I need 2 channel stereo out… not 5.1.

Can you please share what audio format is output via the TOSLINK out ? There is no information in the manual about this.

Thanks and kind regards,
Christian

Hello Christian,

Appreciate for reach out.
When the switcher is connected with two monitors, the TOSLINK OUT port outputs the de-embedded audio from HDMI OUT 1. When the switcher is connected with one monitor, the TOSLINK OUT port outputs the de-embedded audio from the connected monitor (HDMI OUT 1 or HDMI OUT 2).
And if you work on laptop, please you need configure the audio output from the monitor and required the monitor support output audio by itself.

Thank you for the fast reply. The last sentence was the magic hint - need to direct audio to the screen/monitor device, not use the USB Audio device (which gets output via headphone put). Thank you!
