iDock B30 Resolution Issue

Hello,

I’ve just connected a new iDock B30, but unfortunately, I’m not seeing any resolution options higher than 1920 x 1080. My setup includes a desktop PC with an NVIDIA 4070 GPU and a Mac Mini. The monitor I’m using is a 49" Samsung G9.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as working at 1920 x 1080 on this monitor is extremely difficult.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to us and we are really sorry for the issue.

  1. Both your mac mini (connected via USB-C) and PC can only output with 1920x1080?
  2. Our iDock B30 cannot support 49" monitor work to 5120x1440 resolution and will output with 3840x1080 if it working fine.
  3. For your setup requirement, I am recommend to contact our sales team(who is John: john@avaccess.com) that we will have a new 8K model can support your Samsunf G9 monitor work to 5120x1440@120Hz, iDock B10, which is design for 1 USB-C laptop and 1 PC with DisplayPort +HDMI + USB, and output with DisplayPort+HDMI for dual monitor.

Hello, thanks for the quick response. Here’s my setup:

  • One laptop connected via USB-C with display support
  • One Mac Mini
  • One desktop PC

Both the Mac Mini and the laptop are functioning as expected, supporting resolutions up to 3840x1080. However, the desktop is limited to a maximum resolution of 1980x1080. I’ve tested various cables, including HDMI-to-HDMI and DisplayPort-to-HDMI, but the issue persists. Notably, when I connect the desktop directly to the monitor, it displays the correct resolution.

Hi,

Maybe you can check and try upgrade the PC’s graphics card driver for a check if there have new version.

I have the latest drivers already. Any other suggestions that might assist in mitigating this issue? Thanks in advance.
