iDock C10 but CPU does not have HDMI

Hi — I have a laptop on the one side and a Dell EXP on the other. The Dell has (1) DP and no HDMI. The manual indicated that if only the DP is connected, they only on screen will connect. Absent the KVA I use a DP to HDMI splitter and it works fine, but with the KVA I get only one screen.

For the record, with the laptop (USB-C) the KVA works as expected. But switch to the Dell and I get one screen and for some reason but the keyboard and mouse stop working despite the fact they work find when switched to the laptop.

Is there a work around or a KVA that will suit my needs? As to the mouse/key board I think I will be able to figure that out if I get the screen issue resolved…

Thank you!

Hi Owen,

Thanks for contacting us.
For our iDock C10, the desktop input require the PC have all 3 cables connected then it can work properly.
Please double check doe syour DELL EXP computer have other video output port, such as DVI?
Maybe you can try share a picture to us about its connectors?

Thanks, but I looked pretty thoroughly and I don’t see any other video output port…Is there another KVM that might work better for my situation??

Hi Owen,

Due to your PC only have the DP port, so we not have a suitable product can work for your setup requirement.

Thank you for your time.
