Hello,
I am unable to use multiple screens on desktop mode. However, I can when it has been switched to laptop mode. I also cannot use 144hz on my main monitor. Please can you advice, I have tried searching for extra displays on my desktop but it will not find it.
edit: from reading other disgussions, I have DP in and HDMI 1 out to my main display which is an older BENQ Zowie gaming monitor that supports 144hz. The second display is a generic display that is 60hz but still does not output a display. My graphics card is a Saphire 7900 XT, all display drivers have been updated and haven’t had a hiccup. All my cables are 3rd party DP and HDMI 2.1.
I have fixed the issue of being stupid for the short period of time as I had a HDMI plugged into the laptop as well, even though it was not needed. However… as you can see in the image below. I am not able to obtain the 144hz setting in my advanced display settings on my machine.
I have two Gioteck HDMI 2.1 cables as the outputs, one UGreen HDMI 2.1 cable, and DP for inputs. So I should be able to run 144hz, this is mainly why I purchased this KVM. Please advise.
Hello Ryan,
Thanks for reaching us and we are so sorry for the issues.
For the desktop input group, both the “DP in” and “HDMI in” required connected from PC to C10 and “DP in” correspond to “HDMI out 1”,“HDMI in” corresponds to “HDMI out 2”.
For the main monitor not work with 144Hz, as the monitor plug in to the “HDMI out 1” which convert from “DP in” and this would lost the high refresh rate feature. So recommend to swap this monitor connect to “HDMI out 2” and you can make it work with high refresh rate.
I have updated it so that, HDMI 2 out is actively connected to my main monitor. I am still not getting the response of 144hz refresh rate from HDMI 2. However, I did not know that this feature would be only available on a single monitor. I thought this would be over both outputs, which I am extremly unhappy about the product as this is not specified on amazon from what I have viewed. See attached image of updated connection and display advanced settings.
Hello Ryan,
Truly sorry for that.
I am afraid that it may caused by the monitor only support work with high refresh rate ove thr DP and not work with HDMI.
Kindly please try use the HDMI cable direct connect from the PC to monitor and check does it can get the higher than 60Hz options.
If HDMI direct connection not work and that is the HDMI port of monitor limitations, and we cannot solved it for you.
Only one monitor swicthed to 2560x1440?
Kindly please plug it in to the HDMI out 2 so the desktop can worj with 2560x1440@144Hz, due to the HDMI out 1 cobverted from the DisplayPort input and that would be lost the high refresh rate and only support up to 2560x1440@100hz.
For the laptop, could you try disocnnect another monitor and only connected this 2560x1440 mmonitor for a check does it can work with 2560x1440 resolution? This can double check like you use the USB-C connect to monitor directly.
For the USB-C input port, our product come with DP alt mode and DP MST mode, but not the thunderbolt or Displaylink based,so the two connected monitors working resolution also depends on the laptop graphics card performance while it output multiple video streams thru the single USB-C port.
