I bought iDock C10 from Amazon, SN A24F0568.
I have PC and laptop connected together with single HDMI monitor.
No issue observed while working with PC, but I have constant issues with mouse and keyboard while working with my Dell Latitude 7420 (Win10 Pro), mouse and keyboard keep freezing while switching to laptop.
Laptop has thunderbolt port and I use original USB-3 cables from AVAccess.
Only solution to this problem is laptop restart.
Connect/disconnect USB-3 cable or iDock restart doesn’t help.
I had before Dell USB-3 docking station and mouse/keyboard issues never happened.
Second issue that I encountered related to the monitor, while locking laptop or PC, monitor should go to sleep mode, but instead it sleeps 30-40 sec and turns on again, after that monitor not able to go to the sleep mode automatically, so I need to press power button to turn it off. Usually it happens while connected both laptop and PC. If I have only PC connected, monitor goes to sleep mode as expected.
Truly sorry for the issue.
What is your amazon order number?
Does the keyboard and mouse plug in to the rear USB 3.0 ports at iDock C10? If so and please switch to front USB ports.
And you can try get the 40Gbps USB cable for a test with your laptop.
Best Regards,
Mouse and keyboard are wireless (Logitech MX Keys and MX Master S3), I aware about USB3 and wireless set interference, so Logitech provided me 1m long USB2 cables with wireless dongles, both cables connected to rear USB ports of iDock and goes under my desk. I haven’t tried on front port, because I used to connect disk on key there.
I also have USB3 hub, but it connected to second USB3 laptop port, it contains Jabra BT adapter and YUBikey. I don’t connect this USB hub to iDock, because I don’t want to share these devices with my PC if switching to it.
One more issue has been observed with iDock is ethernet port communication, if it connected to my ethernet switch, it completely floods my local network and other home devices connected to the LAN cannot communicate, so I disconnect the LAN cable from iDock and just use laptop WLAN adapter.
I have an iDock C20 with the similar wireless mouse/keyboard set up and the same mouse behavior. The unified USB dongle is plugged into the front mouse (or keyboard) port. Every so often the mouse will become erratic and jumpy. Is there a solution?
