LG Gram connected via USB-C to iDock C10. Gigabit wired connection. around 300Mbit down, similar (or bizarrely higher) up.
Same port on LG Gram via Anker 70 ‘dock’, same wired connection, >900Mbit down, 600Mbit up.
Obviously the desktop side of the C10 does not share the network, so cannot verify that. However same Anker port on desktop gets same (almost full speed) results.
Any ideas?
Hi Nigel,
Truly sorry for that.
- The LAN connection only work for the laptop thru the USB-C connection but not work for the desktop.
- Kindly please you can try restart you laptop to have a check.
- Try going to the Device Manager > Network Adapter: Enter the “Realtek USB GbE Family Controller” option Properties: Advanced menu > Speed & Duplex, then change its Value options to the “1.0 Gbps Full Duplex”
Best Regards,
Completed these steps. LAN connection still shows as 1Gbit (was showing that before also on the wired port to the router).
Approx same behavior - speeds slightly different, but essentially 350Mbit max on down, average just under 300Mbit. Upload seems more consistent.
Connection was tested immediately after using same connection - 950-980Gbit down using the same USB-C port with Anker dock, without rebooting the laptop.
I returned the C10 due to issues covered in another thread.
The new one exhibits exactly the same behavior < 300Mbit down, mid-300Mbit up.
On a 1Gbit connections (with the same wire giving >900Mbit down and >600Mbit up.
(I’ll be keeping this one, as it has resolved the killer issue of ‘pops’ - but would also love to get my Gigabit is full use - so if you have any other ideas, please let me know).
