iDock C10 - sudden issue (once so far in a week) of 'snow' display on one monitor (from desktop to dock). Laptop then also had video issue a few mins later

I have an iDock C10 and overall am mostly happy with it since it switches quickly between my laptop and desktop displays when I press the dock button to switch back and forth.

However, I have encountered two issues:

1) Video issue which I would like help on in THIS thread:
Issue Symptom (only happened ONCE (so far) in last 5 full days of using dock all day every day).
‘Snow’ displayed on one monitor via desktop. At first, during this issue, laptop video was fine, but then it also had no signal, but issue on laptop was BOTH monitors (makes sense since laptop is using only ONE USB-C cable to connect to dock for video for BOTH monitors.

Issue details:
Yesterday (shortly after playing a video clip on VLC Media Player) late in the day where 1 of the 2 monitors’ displays became all snowy (no image displayed, not black but 'snowy).
The other monitor connect to desktop[ was still fine during this issue.
At first the issue was only happening on the desktop PC, but then several minutes later suddenly the laptop stopped displaying BOTH screens.
Neither computer had these problems all week till yesterday.

Not sure if this is a heat issue or something else.

Next Steps:
I rebooted the desktop last night to resolve the issue and it has not happened today all day.
However, my concern with dock is that I have had this desktop 2 years & 4 months and this issue never happened till now when I got the C10 dock.

If this becomes a common or more frequent issue, then this will be a deal breaker and would prevent me from keeping the dock.

Video connections to and from dock:

From desktop to the C10 dock’s 2 video inputs, I am using an 8-foot Monoprice Ultra 8K Premium High Speed HDMI Cable and a CableCreation 8K DisplayPort Cable 10 FT

From laptop to the C10 dock for video, I am using the included USB-C cable.

From C10 dock to 2 monitors, I am using two 5-foot Zeskit Lite 5 foot UHS HDMI cables.

Earlier in the week, instead of the Zeskit, I had been using two 6-ft Monoprice 8 ft HDMI cables.
I think I switched to the Zeskit Wednesday night and I had no issues all day yesterday till about 7 PM when this snow issue started on one monitor after 11 hours of use with the dock…

Cause of “snow” issue and how to prevent it in the future:
I hope someone can help to figure out what cause this issue.
Also would like to know if this will start becoming more common. I will monitor this all next week again to see if it happens again.

===============
The other issue an annoying issue I have documented in a separate thread to keep the 2 issues discussions separate.

In summary that other issue is with my powered hub (connected to desktop) disconnecting and reconnecting up to 3 or 4 times a day which causes keyboard and mouse to become unresponsive for 1 minute (or 2) until all the USB hard drives have woken up and finished reconnecting.
In Device Manager I ALREADY had ALL my USB and Human Interface Devices set NOT to sleep in the 'Power Management tab of device properties for all these devices.

Anyway, I will await answers to the reconnecting issue in that OTHER thread and keep THIS thread for the “snow” issue…
