iDock C20 Stopped Dual Monitor Functionality

I am having an issue with my iDock C20 which suddenly stopped working correctly as it did for about 6 months since I set it up after purchasing it last fall. No cables/hardware involved have changed in that time.

My setup with the iDock C20:

  • One Windows 10 laptop PC connected via USB-C
  • One Windows 11 laptop PC connected via USB-C
  • Two identical Phillips monitors operating at 1920x1080 resolution connected via HDMI
  • One USB receiver for a Logitech combination wireless mouse/keyboard

My issue:

  • Both laptops previously has no issue outputting to each respective built in display and both of the external monitors through the iDock
  • USB-C port #2 still has no problem and allows either laptop to output to both of the monitors
  • USB-C port #1 will not allow either laptop to display to both monitors
  • The Windows 11 machine freezes immediately when the USB-C connection is made and displays the frozen screen on one external monitor and the local monitor while the other external monitor has no input signal
  • The Windows 10 machine does not have the freezing issue and displays to its local monitor and one external monitor as normal through the iDock, but it cannot output to both external monitors
  • Both laptops work fine using USB-C port #1 when I disconnect either one of the external monitors, but the problem persists whether I connect the second monitor after running one successfully or connect the USB-C with both monitors already plugged into the iDock
  • Both laptops can display to either monitor through either HDMI port but not both at the same time
  • Since the Windows 10 machine does not freeze up, I can force it to switch which monitor works by unplugging the other. When using one monitor in HDMI output #1, I can “see” the second monitor in Display Settings but every time I select anything other than “Disconnect this Display” it immediately goes back to the disconnect option. If I force it to output through HDMI #2 and then plug a monitor back into HDMI #1, it does not even recognize the second is there.
  • The Windows 10 laptop does not support USB-C charging, but the Windows 11 machine can charge using either USB-C port as long as only one monitor is connected (it may charge with two, but the screen is frozen so I can’t tell)
  • Mouse/keyboard are unaffected and work with either laptop in either port

I have tried many iDock power cycles and PC restarts with no success, although it doesn’t seem as though I’ve been able to reset the EDID through it all which I’d like to do. Configurations have been maintained throughout.
