Hello,
I bought the C10 to connect two of my monitors – one is 3440x1440 @ 100Hz (via HDMI), and the other is 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.
I had one monitor connected for a few hours while I was trying to figure out why my MBP doesn’t wake up when switching between the PC and laptop. But that’s a separate issue.
I then connected the second monitor (1920x1080), and for a brief moment, both monitors showed only grey artifacts. After a while, the image disappeared. I don’t remember the exact order of steps after that, but I tried to understand what was causing the issue.
From my observations:
I’m able to connect either monitor to the KVM port labeled HDMI1 individually, and they work. However, when I try connecting a monitor to HDMI2 (even just one monitor), there’s no image at all. Does this mean the HDMI2 port is faulty? What does the warranty/return process look like? I didn’t purchase it from the official website but from a local distributor.
I also tried the reset procedure – after typing reset, pressing shift+enter, and sending it – nothing happens. I still see the image, and in the logs I can see the command was sent. Is this expected behavior?
When I lowered the resolution to 1920x1080 @ 60Hz whille being connected with MBP, which is connected via USB-C, I was able to get image duplication across all three displays (MBP screen, ultrawide monitor, and the smaller monitor. However, when switching to my Windows 10 PC, the second monitor still isn’t detected — even after lowering the resolution.
Could the DisplayPort cable included in the set have insufficient bandwidth for this setup? Or is it missing the MST feature?
Finally got it working on my PC as well. It turns out that both the DP and HDMI inputs need to be connected.
That said, I’m still facing three issues:
I have two monitors connected via HDMI, but when using the MacBook Pro (MBP), I only turn the power on the ultrawide one. However, it seems to require a resolution of 2440x1440 instead of 3440x1440—otherwise, I get gray artifacts or a black screen.
When switching from PC to MBP, if the MBP was in sleep mode, it doesn’t wake up automatically. I have to manually open the lid. I worked around it by disabling sleep mode, but I wonder if there’s a better solution.
When switching back from the MBP to the PC, sometimes my keyboard stops working entirely. I have to restart the PC to get it working again.
Do you have the TB4(USB 4) cable can try have a test?
By the way, how about only connected one monitor to have a test when switched to MBP?
Due to the USB-C ont support Displaylink and it can only detected one monitor and then output mirrored contents to two monitors, so you can also try let the lower native resolution monitor connect to HDMI out 1 for a check.
