Is it possible to disable the double tap to change hotkey function 4KSW21-DM?

I just bought a 4KSW21-DM and while I am happy overall, I find it frustrating that the tab key seems to be very sensitive to double presses to change the hotkey to it, and when it’s a hotkey the key seems very unresponsive due to it capturing it to be used as a hotkey.

Is there any way to “lock” the hotkey down to being the capslock key? I need to use the tab key a lot in my work and it not being responsive is very frustrating.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching to us.
Sorry that when the keyboard plugged in the USB 1.1 Port and cannot disable the double press the “Tab” or “CapsLk” button to work as the hotkey.
But you can try use 4 button combines and press them at the same time:“Shift” + “Ctrl” +“Alt” +“]“ to disable the hotkey function.
And then when you want enable it can via “Shift” + “Ctrl” +“Alt” +”[“ .
Best Regards,

Hi Kevin. I have tried using that disable shortcut and it doesn’t seem to work. Oddly the physical manual I got with the KVM differs slightly from the online manual. It states I can use Left Ctrl and Right Ctrl as hotkey options, but doesn’t have the Disable/Enable key commands. Is this due to a change in firmware or the like?

Top is the PDF, bottom is physical.

Hi,

Where you purchased this KVM and what is your order number?
We update the hotkey options on the new batch.
But cannot be upgrade the firmware in your side to change and match to the new version like the PDF descrptions.

Hi Kevin. I bought it directly from AV Access | Quality & Budget Assured Pro AV Product Manufacturer #25107
