I have a brand new C20 that I want to use to switch between my work and personal MacBooks. I wired everything exactly as recommended in the documentation. The video signal from the MacBooks will not activate the monitor. The laptops, their ports, the HDMI cable, and the monitor are all known good. If I take the C20 out of the middle of the chain and connect directly to the laptops with the same HDMI cable and monitor, it works fine. The C20 is powered on… power light and switch light are on. The monitor is an LG Ultrawide. Unless there’s a straightforward solution, I’ll unfortunately have to send this back and try a different company’s product. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Steve,
Truly sorry to keep you waiting.
What is your macbook model number?
Do you have the USB-C to HDMI cable can try direct connect form macbook to the monitor for a check, due to the USB-C different with the HDMI eventhough you use the HDMI direct connect from macbook to the monitor and this is working fine.
Then try going to the macbook display settings and check does it detected this monitor or not and if yes try lowering the refresh rate with 60Hz (at 3440x1440 resolution) for a check.
I have the same issue. C20, LG ultrawide and an M3 macbook air. It switches fine with the PC (Dell), but then when the macbook is the input source, it will only pick up the camera. The monitor cuts on for about 5 seconds, then cuts off.
Note that I am using a USBC (thunderbolt) cable to the dock, then HDMI to HDMI monitor. My mac works fine with this monitor when I bypass the dock and do HDMI (from the dongle).
Also, I have a USBC hub which also works fine with this computer, current settings and monitor.
Hi there,
When the mac work with the LG ultra wide monitor thru the C20,what is the output resolution and refresh rate it work?
Our product can only support work at 3440x1440@60Hz,even though some mac can get the 85Hz option and not recommend to work at this refresh rate.
Best Regards,
