I have ongoing issue where my TVs aren’t displaying. I have an HDIP100E (1080P HEMI over IP Encoder), along with two decoders. The encoder is plugged into a PoE switch which I have confirmed is working. All en/decoders have power lights and a flashing status light. If I TeamViewer into the PC that the casted content is being played on, I can see it (coming from ipoint scheduler on server). The issue is that I keep getting a “No Source” message on all 3 of our TVs. This isn’t your typical blue screen “No source” message of incorrect input or missing cables, it looks as though it’s coming from the switch.
The last time I got this message was because there wasn’t enough power getting to the Encoder from the PoE switch so I attached the include ac/dc adapter and that solved the issue. Now I have no idea what the problem could be- I’ve already tried a different encoder, a different switch and ethernet/HDMI cables.
Any ideas what this could be? A resolution issue with the computer maybe?
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching us and so sorry for the issues.
Totally how may encoders and decoders in this system?
Have you tried replace with different HDMI cable for the PC
Does the VDirector can detected this encoder or not? If not and please try replace with different cat cable and also can try press the reset key at device rear panel(near to the LAN port)
You can check what is the output resolution on PC, our thiese device only support 1080P@60hz.
5.By the way, the “No Source” is the decorder’s idle image while they are not received any signal from the encoder.
I have one encoder and two decoders, and all 3 items are within 10 feet of each other, just in different rooms.
I have tried changing the HDMI cable from the PC to the Encoder, no luck.
When I plug my PC into the switch that the devices are on, the VDirector recognizes the 3 TVs, and I’ve tried to “Turn off/on All”. I tried the reset button in the back of the Encoder and Decoder, still nothing. See attached picture for VDirector.
I played around with the resolution after I posted this. Changed it to a very high amount, very low, and then back to 1080P.
I thought a blinking light wasn’t good are first but had found documentation about it being idle, but thank you!
As an aside, what’s interesting is, if I restart the PC, you can see the HP logo flash on the screen as it finishes POST and boots, and then goes back to “No Source”.
Not sure if this is what you mean but I have an HDMI cable that comes from the TV and can plug into a laptop and it will display laptop content. I also have a Microsoft 4K adapter in another HDMI slot on the TV and you can cast to the TV that way.
Hi,
I am sorry for the confusion.
I mean the encoder connect to other computer to have a test.
By the way, you can have a check and try upgrade the encoder’s firmware if it came with a lower version
Sorry for the delay! I’m working on setting up another PC to test but in the meantime I did do an upgrade of the Encoder from v6.1.2 to v6.1.6. It doesn’t look as though there are any firmware in that zip file you directed me to for an update to the decoders.
