Random disconnections of my network connection with Idock C20

Hello

I just bought an idock c20 station to connect 2 laptops:

  • Yoga Pro 7 14IMH9
  • HP EliteBook x360 830 G8 (3S8V8AV)

I share a screen is an iyama G2730HSU-B1. I also have a mouse and a keyboard.

I also share an Ethernet network connection with a cat 5 STP cable.

I notice random disconnections of my network connection when I use the bookelite (professional laptop). I connect via VPN to my company.

As it is a professional laptop, I cannot do any manipulations or updates.

The Wifi network is not activated. And only the EliteBook is active. the other laptop is not turned on

On its website, Realtek indicates that the latest driver version is: 1152.2 , 1153.2 , 1155.2 , 1156.2

My network card drivers seem to be up to date:

Description: Realtek USB GbE Family Controller #3
Driver version: 1153.8.608.2022

Attached are the configuration elements of my network card of my HP Elitebook professional laptop:

Best regard

Hi Eric,

Thanks for gettin gback to us and we are truly sorry to keep you waiting such a long time.

  1. How about if disconencted from the company VPN?
  2. Try set the “Ethernet 20” Connection speed (Receive/Transmit) from10/10 (Gbps) to 1Gbps for a check, due to our device only support 1Gbps bandwidth.

Best Regards,

Hello

The disconnections continue. it is impossible to change the settings because I am not an administrator of my PC.

Incidentally, Ethernet 20 is a Juniper virtual interface for VPN.

The Enternet 37 physical interface is at 1 Gbs

I’ve noticed that disconnections are triggered when I’m in Teams so maybe when the traffic is loaded

(Sorry It’s in bold character but I don’t know How to put in normal character) in order to update the driver of the Idock C20, the support sent me a Kinetix 6.3.0 software with an operating mode. I have an Nvidia graphics card. Here are the logs of this little Kinetics software:
Kinetic AUX-ISP Tool v6.3.0

Wed Feb 5 14:10:23 2025 ====================================
Auto scan graphics adapter…
NVidia [NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU] Driver ver: 55599 : Init done ==> No available port!
AMD: Loading DLL… Failed!
Intel: Gfx init failed! (Err code: 0x0154) =============================================

I specify that I have 2 Intel and Nvidia graphics cards with dynamic management.

I launched the utility by disabling the Intel board, with administrator rights, and it still doesn’t work. Kinetix does not detect the host

Do I have the right update kit?

Is there an action I need to do at my level to launch the utility?

Hi Eric,

I see the “Ethernet 20” is the VPN,so cannot adjust the connection speed, right?
Do you have other single AMD graphics card laptop can try have a test?
Due to the Kinetic tool developed by the USB-C chipset manufacture and we cannot improved it in our side.
Truly sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello Kevin,

It’s impossible to adjust anything on my professional laptop (HP Envy EliteBook)

On my personnal laptop from wich I try to update the firmware:
I haven’t any AMD processor. Only Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 9 185H
For graphics : Intel graphic + NVIDIA with dynamic management.

Hi Eric,

I am so sorry for that.
In this case and maybe you can consider ask return and get refund, due to the issue may caused by the unexpected compatibility with the VPN connections.
Truly sorry for the inconvenience.
