USB Devices not stable switching between Mac and IBM Thinkpad

I’ve just setup the D23 dock between an IBM laptop and mac mini.

Video seems to be pretty reliable switching between the two devices but USB not so much.

Have a small powered USB hub attached into the back of the idock and then a USB headset, USB webcam and USB DAC/AMP connected.

The showstopper issue is that the webcam and USB headset don’t reliably switch. While I have had the headset and webcam working switched to the PC, it’s now not reconnecting and have tried several attempts to reseat the USB cable at the back of the D23.

Simplifying the configuration, the only USB port I seem to be able to reliably get the headset working on is the bottom left hand port on the front of the device.

Any ideas?

Hello Pat,
Thanks for reaching us and we are so sorry for the trouble caused.
Does the provided USB-A to USB-B cable direct connect from computers to our D23(USB host port) and bypass the docking or hub.
Best Regards,

The D23 is connected directly to the mac using the USB cable provided

The webcam is Logitech, the headset is Jabra so commonly used devices, both have worked flawlessly when connected to either device in the past (always using a powered USB hub).

The configuration I want to get to us a powered USB hub in the back of the D23 dock with all shared devices.

At the moment, it feels like a more fundamental USB issue with the dock - devices aren’t recognised when plugging in directly.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for your update.
So only they work when plugged in to the bottom left hand USB port on the front of the device?
Do you have other desktop can have a test?
