Web Interface access to 4KMX44-H2 Matrix Switch

I have a new 4KMX44-H2, and have connected to the IP Web Interface. The login dialog looks just like the manual, and the manual says the default username and password are both “admin” - but they result in a message box that reads: “Wrong username or password!” Anyone have any insight? I have tried every variation I can think of…

Thanks for contacting us and so sorry for the trouble caused.

  1. Normally, the user name and password default by “admin”, so have you changed it before?
  2. you can try use the ethernet cable connect to your PC, then following the API document to try factory reset the matrix, then you can check again.

I used Telnet to connect, and was able to execute API commands - including “reset”, which clearly worked as the Telnet session disconnected and the HDMI outputs reset to their default inputs. But when I reconnected from a browser, using “admin” for both the username and password again resulted in a message box that reads “Wrong username or password!”. I have tried this from three Windows 11 PCs using Edge as the browser, and once using Internet Explorer - always with the same result. Now what?

Thanks for your update and really sorry for that.

  1. Could you try change to Chrome browser for a check?
  2. Please double confirm you are input with “admin” for both usernamer and password, only 4 letters(admin) without the quotes.
  3. If still not work and please help to check the device firmware version and also help snap a video that including use the telnet to try factory reset the device and also try login to the webUI
