How to check C10 firmware revision?

Just taken delivery of new C10 via Amazon. I read the Kinetic update and it says it does not work with a laptop with Intel GFX - so I cannot use that tool.

How do I find out the revision of the two firmwares to verify I have the latest?
Thanks

Hello Nigel,

Thanks for getting back to us and are you got the ProAVManager tool?
And you can use the software to check the current version in your iDock C10,so we can confirm it for you.
Best Regards,

Shows f/w 4.0.0 - is that latest?
Not finding a link for latest firmwares.

Hi Nigel,

The V4.0.0 is the latest version.

Where can I find firmware 4.0.0 for iDock C10 ? I can only find 3.1.2 as latest here:

I have continously a problem with that my screen is not waking up from sleep when I have been away for a certain amount (does not seem to be any repeating number) of time and was wanting to try with new firmware.

Hi Jonas,

Thanks for getting back to us,but sorry that the V4.0.0 firmware can only upgrade in factory.
Have you tried lowering the output resolution for a check?
Does this issue happened on laptop?
How about try replace with other USB-C cable to have a test?

I have the same issue on both USB-C connection and on the desktop computer that is connected with Display Port to the C10.

If I connect directly to the monitor (with the HDMI-cable to either laptop or desktop) I do not have the issue with my screen. The monitor wakes up and works but connected through the C10 it decides to continue to sleep until I turn off/on the screen.

Hi,

Does this issue happened on the laptop side?
How about try setup it with a lower down the sleep level.

And how about unplug and replug the USB-C cable, can this make the monitor wake up and work again?

I installed Linux on my desktop machine and the issue remains when the computer turns the monitor fully to sleep. Just flipping to laptop and back to desktop does nothing either.

I will try if the disconnect/reconnect USB-C cable from laptop works next time I will use laptop and it does this. I’ll get back to you!

I have now tried a litte bit of everything I think. So this I have tested when the C10 is not waking up the screen again:

Disconnect and connect USB-C from laptop (both pc/windows and Mac) - did not make any difference. I also noticed one time on my Mac it disconnected the screen (all windows where moved back only to laptop screen) but it was still connected and with light lit on laptop. At that point I disconnect and connected the cable and the Mac reacted with that it again got network and a screen but still the screen did not wake up.

I have tried disconnecting and connecting the HDMI to the screen when this has happened but still not making the screen wake up - but if I connect it directly to the mac or pc the screen wakes up.

Hi,
Thanks for your update and we has doing the test in our lab to try reproduce this issue so engineer can try have a check what this problem happened.
By the way, could you share with us those laptop details you tested, such as laptop model number.
Many thanks.

I also have an iDock with 3.1.2 that has the same issues hAmpzter is describing where sometimes one of the monitors doesn’t wake up when waking the computer up, or switching from laptop to desktop. Also, occasionally (maybe once every few hours) one of my screens will turn off or a couple seconds during use.

Hi Mike,

Truly sorry for the trouble caused.
How long the output HDMI cable length you used? How about try replace with other short HDMI cables to have a test?

The different laptops I have tested this with is a MacBook Pro (MacBookPro16,1) and Lenovo ThinkPad P16s .

Any more spec on any of them you want?

Hi, if you have and kindly please try test with the shorter HDMI cables for a check.
Many thanks.

I have now tested with a couple of different cables and sadly same behavour. Seems to be mostly when the screen goes to some kind of “deep sleep” as it works when the screen just have been offline for a small time period.

But does not seem to happen every time as now when I tried to just change just from Lenovo-laptop to MacBook but did not do this quick (took a minute between disconnect to connect again) it goes to sleep but does not wake up even thought the MacBook moves windows into the connected (but still off) display.

Hi Jonas,
Thanks for your hard work on our device.
Could you double check does the monitor havea Deep Sleep mode or not: Some monitors may have a “Deep Sleep” or “Eco Mode” and try disable this option.

I found that my screen has such a setting and disabled it. Seems to work a lot better.
Should the C10 not be able to handle to wake a screen from Deep Sleep?

Hi Jonas, yes and so that recommend disble the deep sleep option.
