iDock B30 video disappears on a monitor - troubleshoot or firmware downgrade

Hello community,

I have been using an iDock B30 for 1 year now where I have connected 3 devices as follows:

  1. Laptop System76 (OS: Windows11, GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660)

  2. MacBook Pro 2020 (not using too often)

  3. Laptop Tuxedo (OS: Linux, GPU: integrated Intel)

  4. 2 x Dell U2518D connected to the KVM.

Until 2 days ago, everything was just fine, working perfectly and with no issues.
2 days ago, I upgraded the firmware from v1.0.6 to v1.1.0. The upgrade went ok. I checked after the upgrade was finished and it is v1.1.0.
Q: Why did I upgrade it?
A: I don’t know… I didn’t have any issues before but I said a newer firmware is better than the old one…

My problem now is that at one of the monitors (always the same) the video disappears (it is not turning off, the video just disappears). (see screenshot below).
It happens at the laptop with Windows11. I need to unplug the monitor video cable from the video output in the kvm and replug it and the video comes back so it’s not because of the laptop.

Is there anything I can do in this case? I think my only way to try get rid of this issue is to downgrade the firmware from v1.1.0 to v1.0.6. Can you provide me this version as from where I got the v1.1.0 there was no v1.0.6 version.

Thank you.

Update:
The 2 USB 3.0 from the front side are oddly working. I never had any issues with them but now on Linux, when I add a thumbdrive there the mouse is stuck. (mouse is connected with a Bluetooth dongle on the front side)

I really need some help here. I tried the following

  1. I tried to reset using the method explained here: IDoc B30 Bricked
  2. I tried to write v1.0.6 over v1.1.0 and even though I got a confirmation that it was done, when I interogate again the device it says again v1.1.0

Another problem that seems to happen now after the steps 1. and 2. is that when I press the front buttons to change from a laptop to another it takes 5-10seconds to actually comute the video on the monitors.

I don’t know what to do here and I really need the product to be functional. @Kevin

Hi,

Kindly please try re download the V1.0.6 version and upgrade to have a check.

I tried to downgrade it, but it didn’t seem to work for some reason. The process was very fast (basically it took way less time compared to the time that it took to upgrade it from 1.0.6 to 1.1.0)

Hi,

Please try visiting above link and download the V1.0.5 firmware to downgrade with this version, then upgrade to V1.0.6 for a check.
Many thanks.
